Cover mockup

I used two of my selected pictures for my magazine's cover page but I would be choosing picture 1 as this is a full shot where my model's dress is fully visible along with the background. The representation of my genre is fully elaborated here like the jewellery, makeup, the outfit, greenery in the background and the major Desi Wedding factor "GAINDAS" are very evident. Facial expressions of my model here are exquisite and engaging with the whole theme. She looks decorative too which may attract the buyers. The light is also gloomy as this shoot was done at afternoon.

Shoot Analysis

These are few of the pictures I am selecting for my magazine.

My models here are giving natural looks along with keeping their posture straight. Also, the headroom in these pictures isn't much and the pictures are captured keeping everything balanced. The background setup is visible and the expressions are on point.

I took some of the side poses too as they look striking and also making the jewellery prominent here.

I selected this as my model's full dress is displayed here along with the beautiful yellow Gaindas making this picture very attractive.

Now I am going to post the rejected ones.

My model looks exhausted and tired here and her body looks stiff. The expressions are unsatisfactory and not up to the mark.

Here my model's eyes are closed and one of them is blocked by her hair making this picture look unpleasant and not addable in my magazine.

These two pictures are covering a lot of headroom which looks disagreeable to add in my magazine.

This picture seems a little blur that's why I eliminated it.

Production Day

I did my shoot on the 17th of March in afternoon around 3-4pm. The good things or the strengths about the shoot was that everything was aligned properly with the decoration. My brides or models were looking absolute stunning and the setup was also very attractive. We approximately took an hour while dressing up and everything went very smooth.

The weakness of this shoot were the flowers, it was hard for me to string the flowers on the spiral stairs because they were not staying on them.  Secondly we all were kind of sick so it was a little tiring for us to prolong the photoshoot. Moreover, the dupatta of one of my brides wasn't staying on her head as it was heavy due to which we faced inconvenience while shooting but my overall experience was absolutely amazing an exciting.

While shooting, I took some medium and closeup shots and covered all low/high angles by literally laying straight on the grass and struggling through every position to capture masterpieces which I tried. I took full shots so the alluring dresses of my models could be fully captured and closeups were taken to focus on the jewellery as it holds certain value in our culture. Jewellery is an essential part of the bride and without it a bride doesn't look like one.

Here are few pictures and videos from Behind The Scenes where I am taking pictures and doing my models final touchups.

The background or the location was a lawn as I wanted to exhibit greenery while having a shoot. I went with yellow flowers called "Gaindas" as they are enhancing beauty of the greenery and also because in every other DESI wedding, gaindas are always seen. They are an important component reflecting traditionality in a wedding and they are deeply linked with wedding ceremonies. I did some creativity too by adding colorful dupattas to lighten up the background.

Stairs helps us to go upwards or takes us to somewhere else, so here I chose spiral stairs as they are a progression to another level as marriage is a different chapter of our lives. Getting married means shifting from one life to another and through using stairs I am trying to connotate that.
